Methane, is a greenhouse gas 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide that traps heat and contributes significantly to global warming. Around 60% of methane emissions result from human activities such as agriculture, fossil fuel use, and decomposing organic waste in landfills. Despite its impact, landfill emissions have received less attention compared to other methane sources. Even with reduced fossil fuel use in the future, managing organic waste will remain an ongoing challenge. The time to act to change our future is now.
Our Canadian government is committed to improving landfill waste management by funding innovative methods to capture methane and support a circular economy. In a circular economy, products are repurposed, reused, or reimagined to avoid landfills altogether.
At Davidson Environmental, we’re proud to be part of this movement. By diverting food waste and helping turn commercial waste into renewable energy, we partner with businesses to make a positive impact and help build a cleaner, greener future.
Building a better tomorrow starts with taking a positive step today. Let Davidson Environmental support your green journey with our food diversion program. Reach out at https://davidsonenvironmental.ca/ to explore how we can help
